| Re:focus Denver to Create a Clean Energy Future |
In 2009 Revision International organized a forum in Denver to engage our elected officials in dialogue about developing solutions to our climate and energy crises. Read their official statements below, and then contact them to encourage them to keep up the good work:Senator Michael Bennett“Colorado is ready to lead the nation in the new energy economy. As we continue to find opportunities to invest in clean, renewable energy, we are laying the foundation for a new, more sustainable energy future that will create jobs, spur economic growth and boost Colorado and our country. I thank Focus the Nation and Revision International for its commitment to Colorado and our nation’s clean energy economy.” Representative Ed Perlmutter“The dialogue taking place at events like this one [Focus the Nation] in Colorado are important in order to change the way we power this nation. The importance of this is always top consideration in crafting policy and we will continue to make it a priority as we move forward.” Denver City Councilman Charlie Brown“Our energy and climate crisis go hand in hand. We as a nation are living with the consequences of an outdated electrical grid, lack of energy storage solutions and years of scientific evidence suggesting our continued dependence on fossil fuels will be catastrophic on the earth’s climate and the future well being of the planet… As a nation we must advance these technologies and modernize our power grid, in doing so, we will create jobs, help us recover from our economic turmoil and reduce our dependence on fossil fuels.” Read more. |
