'Green' Legislation in Colorado.

Colorado lawmakers finished the legislative session this past week.  Find out what steps were and weren't taken towards creating a clean energy economy. We will be posting the outcomes of the following bills; do not let up on urging your representatives to support legislation that prioritizes clean energy and creates green jobs. Find contact info for your representatives here: Colorado General Assembly. State your name, tell them where you live, and politely demand that they support the bills listed below.

 

  • HB 1126 - Creating tax incentives for solar hot water.

  • HB 1312 – Creating opportunities for schools to invest in clean energy.

  • HB 1323 – Ensuring Coloradoans who get power from rural co-ops have access to the same cost-saving energy efficiency as larger utilities.

  • HB 1331- Creates tax incentives for high technology motor vehicles already available to car buyers such as zero emission and low emission vehicles as well as cars reaching upwards of 70 miles-per-gallon.
